Worth watching. Jessabelle concerns the young woman of the title, who, following a tragic accident that kills her fiancé, returns to stay with her taciturn father while she regains the use of her legs. I really like photography, and I'd like to do more of that kind of thing. A few acts could have been executed differently so as to appear more clearly to the viewer. I love playing characters with different accents. Not too easy to figure out, and holds up well on a second viewing. I'm sure if I understood tarot cards more I wouldn't be as fearful. It's a strange movie but I like that they add the voodoo aspect into it. For her performance in Predestination, she won the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. This is a massive generalisation, but women tend to think about things more first, then act afterwards. If we discovered, emphatically, that ghosts were real, I probably wouldn't be surprised. There are 365 days in the year, and as a working actor, you might only work 17 of them. with appropriately dark and dreary settings and creepy clues found along the way that this story isn't just a "bumps-in-the-night" horror movie. I was also not expecting the ending, which is rare. Terrific ghost story with several scary moments. It's important to make art that you intended to make. And I believe, in some way, I haven't been brave enough to engage with tarot cards mostly because they always end on a bad note.
