The Tank models that have been upgraded to HD are very good, and the overall feel is pretty good. I’ve played a little bit of the tank part In war thunder but I’ve never World of tanks before, can anyone explain how the gameplay differs ?Warthunder has a very cheesy, and very abusable spotting system as well most people just don't know about it. Part of this damage model is the modelling of ammunition types which is superior in every way to the WoT Counterparts. This is something I accepted while playing WoT and I had a large number of premium tanks and enjoyed playing them most of the time, but since playing War Thunder and using their equally balanced premium tanks, I much prefer the WT model. It sounds silly seeing as they are both tank games, but WT by far captures tank combat and the feel of a tank way more than WoT.I just find WoT to feel like you're driving a RC car with a gun on top, which is fun in its own right - but it doesn't make me feel like I'm driving a tank. There feels to be a lot more tactics at play in WT as well.
In contrast, the dynamics of War Thunder just aren't as rewarding to me.
I have always been a big fan of military hardware. In my opinion War Thunder Ground forces is the better game. If you took the underlying mechanics of WoT and replaced the historical veneer with something else, like Sci-Fi hovercrafts or whatever, it would be just about as entertaining. I never really liked this very much, which is why I play RB almost exclusively. That being said WT also has many issues but i ll pick it over WoT any day of the week for several reasons: WT unlike WoT actualy tries to be a simulator-ish , histroricaly accurate game, WT has both GF and Air Forces, imho WT does better job at balancing things and WT has infinetly better graphics/physics.Did you miss the part of his post where he reminded us that he's a good player and we should listen to him because he has a high efficiency? My issue with balance is the fact that the game doesn't actually "get started" until tier 6. There are night battles, and different weather types.
Predicting positioning and formulating a game plan based on the enemy team comp is a very important skill you develop.I do agree that WT is a much more realistic representation of combat. in WW II this was a devastating gun, not only because of the penetration but also because of the APCBC round that had such destructive power. The spotting system is horrible.
In my opinion if you are paying money to support a free to play game, the tanks you buy should be equally competitive at their battle rating or Tier.
This can be very frustrating the higher skill you develop this system impacts you more.Because of their Hitpoint model many of the guns end up having a less than satisfying feel to them since all you are seeing is a small amount of numbers Good examples would be the German 88mm gun. Obviously map knowledge is hella important, but it's more of a "find a good spot so you can ambush people" thing than complex map control and sight lines thing. You can gain XP on ANY tank using ANY tank, at ANY tier.High Tier games don't seem like you are always losing money. Years ago my brother, and some friends got me into World of Tanks. Both because some low-tier tanks are enormous amounts of fun and because there are some really interesting vehicles at low-tiers that are just kicked in the nuts because they're "for the grind". I used to enjoy both but now for various reasons I find them to be more so stress inducing than actually being fun.At one time War Thunder was better than WoT up until they added planes and later ATGMs.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castWorld of Tanks is a PvP MMO game created by international game developer Wargaming.
Meanwhile, World of Tanks is a pacier, more arcade-y experience.
Best brawler tank around. As someone who still plays WoT, the balance is much better. This is a subreddit where we share WoT news, strategy tips, tank choices, and opinions.
